Troubleshooting & FAQ

Can the Lynx Screed System only spin in one direction?

Nope! The Lynx Screed System was developed to spin either way with no fear of accidental disconnecting or un-threading.

What basic pipe lengths are available?

The different lengths you can choose from include: 3′, 5′, 6′, 7′, 8′ and 9′

Do I have to buy one length at a time?

While you can purchase individual lengths in the Lynx Screed System depending on your needs, we do have multilpe kit options available.

Does the modular system reduce the need to stock full-length screed pipes?

For the most part, yes! The Lynx Screed System was built to allow you to combine and create an array of overall lengths, without having to have individual dedicated pipes.

How easy is field assembly/disassembly? What tools are needed?

The Lynx Screed System utilizes common 7/16 & 11/16 nuts and bolts to allow for quick and flat assembly. No specialized tools or stands are needed. Just place the centering ring between two lengths, place your hardware in the holes, and tighten.

How long does linking modules take in practice, especially under jobsite conditions?

Since the Lynx Screed System doesn’t take anything special to set up, you can link multiple pipes together in about 5-10 minutes.

Does the modular joint create any visible seam, line, or mark in the concrete surface?

Due to the space left for the bolts, you will notice some tracking as you screed. We recommend going over it one or two times (or even screeding a little slower depending on slump), and the track will disappear when you float it to finish.

Are spare connectors, centering rings, bolts, etc. readily available?

Yes! We have Lynx Screed System hardware on hand and ready to ship.

We are located outside of the United States and Canada. Can we still buy the Lynx Screed System?

Of course! We have many happy customers outside of the United States and Canada. We just ask that you contact our international dealer J.D. Honigberg to set up your order. More information can be found here.
